Alex & Lee Fostering Art (ALFA), in collaboration with Kit Skeoch Sacred Visions Studio

This intensive is designed to learn jewerly making skills, and creating unique handmade pieces for gifts and/or self adornment. In the tradition of wearable art creators Alex & Lee, we will be teaching how to work with wire, hammering metal, beads, shells, found objects, collage images, and fiber trim. The program has been developed by Greg Franke (co-creator with Lee Brooks for over 20 years) and Kit Skeoch.


We provide all tools and materials for making multiple projects including necklaces, pendants, earrings, charms, bracelets, as well as a dream catcher or wall sculpture.


WHEN:  10 am to 1pm, Saturdays, November 3 through December 18 (there will be no class Thanksgiving weekend).

* A 3-week class on the scheduled Saturdays in November or December is also an option, starting either November 3 or December 1.


WHERE:  Kit Skeoch Sacred Vision Sudio, Poets Corner area, Berkeley (San Pablo & Dwight Way), a 10 minute walk from the North Berkeley BART Station


COST:  $300   

A limited number of scholarships are available for the class, provided by ALFA. The class has a maximum of 10 students.

Kit Skeoch is a Berkeley-based Artist/Educator. Her teaching encourages students to tap into the creative life force energy within us all, helping each student bring their special creative vision out into the world. Her own work in painting and clay is inspired by her personal connection to African and Caribbean goddess and god mythology.
